Brief Summary of Project

At ORGAMED Lab, IIT Madras, we are pioneering next-generation regenerative therapies for insulin-deficient diabetes using pancreatic organoids and stem cell-derived beta-cell replacements. Our research focuses on developing injectable, patient-specific stem cell therapies that can restore pancreatic function and revolutionize diabetes treatment. By integrating advanced organoid engineering, single-cell mapping, and beta-cell isolation techniques, we aim to better understand pancreatic islet biology and disease progression. Through collaborations with leading international research centers, we are working towards precision medicine-driven, scalable, and clinically relevant solutions that could transform diabetes care. Our ultimate goal is to bridge cutting-edge stem cell technology with translational medicine, paving the way for patentable innovations, novel therapeutics, and future-ready regenerative treatments for diabetes.
