National Science Day Celebration at Rajalakshmi Engineering College

The National Science Day Celebration at Rajalakshmi Engineering College (REC), themed “Sustainable Future,” was organized by the BT Society & Journal Club of the Department of Biotechnology in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council. The event took place on 28th February 2025 at the Indoor Auditorium, REC from 9 AM onwards.

Key Highlights:
Chief Guest: Mr. Hafiz Khan, Founder of CommuniTREE, a climate activist and environmental advocate who has led the plantation of 1.6 million trees.
Guest of Honour: Dr. Pavaskar Chellakannu, Head of Operations at LKC Ltd. & VDNa Technologies.
Alumnus Speaker: Dr. Anubama Rajan, Professor at IIT Madras, specializing in Medical Sciences.

Events & Competitions:
Eureka-AD-ZAP – A fast-paced advertising challenge where participants pitched creative ideas.
Planet Pixel – Photography & Videography – A competition that showcased science through a creative lens.
Verdanterverse – Slogan Contest – Participants crafted impactful slogans for a sustainable future.
The event successfully engaged, inspired, and fostered innovation in science through various interactive activities and competitions, promoting a spirit of inquiry and collaboration.
